The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has made a history. It recently won the DSCI Excellence Award 2018 for cybersecurity education.
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 1951. It was the first of the IITs to be established and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.
The award was given by the Data Security Council of India (a body set up in order to protect data by NASSCOM), at the Annual Information Security Summit 2018.

The institute was felicitated for its focused curricula and research work in cryptography, hardware security, cyber security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, and network security.
