The National Conclave on Energy, Semiconductor, Cyber Security, and AI, organized by Trident Academy of Technology in association with ARF, SARED Foundation, Threatsys Technologies, IEEE and SPARC, brought together experts from industry and government to discuss the future of cybersecurity, privacy, and emerging opportunities in the field.

As a panelist on the Cyber Security Track, I had the privilege of joining esteemed personalities like:
✔ Dr. Rabi Narayan Behera – Member of Parliament (MP), Jajpur, Odisha & Standing Committee Member of Communications and IT
✔ Somen Das – Associate Director, Accenture
✔ Niladri Bihari Mohanty – Scientist-D, Joint Director IT, National Informatics Center
✔ Amit Das – CIO, CSM Technology
✔ Kali Prasad Sahani – Cyber Security Lead, VISA

Live Hacking : A Fun Yet Ethical Cybersecurity Demonstration
To make cybersecurity more engaging and practical, I conducted a live hacking and OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) investigation, demonstrating how personal and sensitive information can be gathered from publicly available sources. As part of this ethical showcase, I revealed the bank account details of the college principal and the several credentials of a faculty member, all without gaining access to any devices. This exercise left students and faculty amazed at the sheer amount of information that can be accessed with the right techniques.
The Expanding Horizon of Cybersecurity Careers
The session also covered growing opportunities in cybersecurity, including:
🔹 Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing
🔹 Digital Forensics & Incident Response
🔹 Cybersecurity Consulting & Compliance (ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
🔹 Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity
🔹 Government & Defense Sector Roles
With cybersecurity threats evolving rapidly, there is an urgent need for skilled professionals, making this one of the most lucrative career paths for the next generation.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Experts

The conclave witnessed an enthusiastic response from students and faculty from various institutions. The discussion sparked curiosity, awareness, and motivation among budding cybersecurity professionals. The key takeaway? Cybersecurity is not just a field—it’s a mission to protect the digital world.
Final Thoughts
Cybersecurity is at the heart of digital transformation, and with proactive learning and hands-on training, the future belongs to those who innovate, adapt, and secure the cyber realm. I encourage students to explore certifications, real-world projects, and hands-on experience to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity.
