From Bhubaneswar to the business forums of Europe, every new market has taught me something valuable. This year, Romania became that next chapter. I had the opportunity to attend the India–Romania Business Forum 2026 as part of the Indian business delegation. What began as a formal engagement quickly turned into meaningful conversations about cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital compliance, and the growing partnership between India and Romania.
Why Romania Stands Out
Romania is quietly emerging as one of Europe’s most dynamic digital economies. Businesses are scaling rapidly, investments in technology are increasing, and regulatory expectations around GDPR and NIS2 are becoming more stringent. At the same time, organisations are looking for partners who understand both advanced cybersecurity and the practical challenges of running a business. This combination creates a strong foundation for long-term collaboration.
Conversations That Mattered
During the forum, I engaged with Romanian companies and officials on real challenges they face in securing digital assets and meeting European compliance standards. We were able to sign several MoUs and initiate strategic discussions focused on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities across the region. These interactions went beyond formal meetings they were about understanding needs, sharing perspectives, and building trust.
Building on Existing Strengths
Having already worked with clients across Europe, I have seen how different markets approach cybersecurity. Romania feels ready. There is clear ambition, openness to collaboration, and a growing recognition that strong cybersecurity is essential for sustainable growth. This is exactly the kind of environment where meaningful and lasting partnerships can take shape.
Looking Ahead with Purpose
For me, expansion has never been about simply entering a new geography. It is about showing up consistently, listening carefully, and delivering value over time. Romania is an important step in this journey, and I am approaching it with the same focus and humility that has guided us so far. I look forward to building strong relationships and contributing to greater digital resilience in the region.
